Returns
We want you to be completely satisfied with your online purchase. We will happily accept returns on full-priced items within 30 days of purchase; together with original proof of purchase. We suggest all items are tried on as soon as they are received to ensure you are able to return items within the returns timeframe and make sure they are returned in the original condition you received them, not worn, washed or altered and must include all swing tags and packaging. We do not accept returns on Collector Vintage or Sale Items as these are considered Final Sale.
Before you return your item, please read the below returns policy to make sure you qualify for a return before you start.
HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM
Online Returns are even easier now with Australia Post Easy Returns.
To return an item, please click the Return Request Form here and follow the below simple steps.
1. Fill in a few simple details so we can process your return.
2. Australia Post will email you with a return code. Bring this with you when you drop off your parcel.
3. Australia Post will let you know when your parcel has arrived safe and sound back with The People Vs.
When your parcel arrives we will contact you and feel free to select from a store credit or refund for your order within 48 business hours.
It may take up 3-4 business days for your account to be credited.
EXCHANGING YOUR ORDER
Simply jump online and purchase the size or item you are exchanging. This way you are guaranteed the item, and we can ship it to you straight away. Send the items you're exchanging back using Australia Post Easy Returns & complete the returns form on the back of your invoice and securely package this with your returning items. As soon as we receive your return we will process the refund within 48 business hours, and will email you when the process is complete.
STORE CREDIT
If you simply want to return your item(s) for a credit note, you can do so by lodging your return via the Australia Post Easy Returns (see method above). Once your items have been received back at our warehouse, you will be issued a Store Credit as an online gift card for you to enter upon checkout during your next order.
REFUND
If you prefer a direct refund via your original payment method you can choose this option for full-priced items (vintage collection and sale items are not included) that are returned within 30-days from sale date. Simply lodge your return via the Australia Post Easy Returns (see method above). Once your return arrives to us within the time frame specified please allow 3-4 business days for your refund to be processed. You will be notified by email once this is completed. For International Customers you can ship the item(s) back to us via your preferred courier and we encourage opting for tracked shipping.
RETURN COSTS
Australian Customers who request returns within 30 days of purchase can be provided with a prepaid shipping label via Australia Post Easy Returns.
INTERNATIONAL RETURNS
If you are based outside of Australia, then International Customers will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to return exchanges and unwanted items (including any additional duties & taxes accessed by customs). The transaction will be processed via the original payment method providing all of our refund policy conditions are met. If the return does not reach us safely, we will not be able to complete reimbursement. We advise that you use a tracked method for safe delivery.
VINTAGE ITEMS
Because many of these items are second-hand, and the transient nature of vintage garments, some pieces may show varying degrees of wear that is not outlined in the description listing. Please note: The People Vs does not accept exchanges or returns on Vintage items at this time.
Should we have made an error to your order (such as a damaged product or incorrect size shipped), please contact us and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible. The sizes given are a guide only and will vary from garment to garment. All Vintage Sales are final.
SALE ITEMS
There are strictly no returns, exchanges or refunds on sale items (unless the product is damaged or faulty).
FLASH SALE / PROMOTIONS
If you recently purchased an item at a higher price, and now it is cheaper due to a sale we unfortunately will not accept returns or refund the difference. Whilst we rarely do go on sale, it is best to mark out the globally recognised sales and advertised events in your calendar so not to miss out in the future.
FAULTY ITEMS
All products have been quality controlled, however if you have received an item with a manufacturing fault please contact us as soon as possible and include a photo of the faulty item before returning. We will replace the item if we have stock available or will issue you with a refund within 30-days of purchase. Anything outside this timeframe will be up to our discretion. Please note that wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing fault.
The People Vs. reserves the right to deny an exchange or refund of the merchandise returned if they do not meet the requirements of our return policy.
